ELIZABETH YOON
This native New Yorker comes from a family of artists and film workers. Always drawn to the arts as a child, Elizabeth followed her aspirations and went to study fine arts at Fiorello H. Laguardia HS of Performing Arts and continued her education at Pratt Institute where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Advertising. Following her parents footsteps, she started assisting her mother, Jane Choi, a well known makeup artist in the industry, since she was in college.
She has been working as a professional makeup artist for 21 years. During that time she has also worked as a creative art director in different ad agencies in NYC for 10 years. This helped her develop the understanding of the client’s needs and wants on both sides of the spectrum.
Elizabeth is a journeyman for IATSE Local 798. She has worked with renowned photographers, directors, celebrities, established brands to everyday people. She has been recognized by the Olympic committee for the XXlll Olympic Winter Games, received an Emmy nod for the NBC show Saturday Night Live where she has been working for 9 seasons and an Emmy nomination for NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live!
Currently, she resides in Brooklyn with her husband and 3 year old son and enjoys living the life she has created ♥
